Information on cross-country skiing

7 km km of cross-country tracks:

The Zillertal Arena stands for snow-sure and and perfectly prepared cross-country trails. Have a look for yourself, e.g. on the approx. 12 km long track around Gerlos. The access point to the trail "Schönachtal - Stinkmoosalm" is directly in resort, and with its 7 km it is the longest in the Arena. The trails are mainly easy to intermediate difficulty. The probably nicest track in the Zillertal Arena is the high altitude track on the Gerlosplatte in the national park Hohe Tauern. At 1,640 m altitude and on a total length of 8 km you can enjoy the idyllic view.

In nearby Zell am Ziller you can find further approx. 16 km of trails available. These are ideal for beginners due to their easy level of difficulty. And once you have gotten then hang of it you can access the Mayrhofen trail network from Zell am Ziller with additional 33 km. Further highlights of the region are the new illuminated track "Bäckenfeld" and the new high altitude trail at the mountain station of Königsleiten.
