Cross-country St. Michael im Lungau

Information on cross-country skiing

150 km km of cross-country tracks:

In the entire region of Lungau, the is an extensive network of approx. 150 km of cross-country trails to be found, which leave no wishes unfulfilled. It is not for nothing, that the region of Lungau has been awarded with the Austrian quality seal for being one of the best-prepared cross-country networks.

Especially recommendable for skiers with enough stamina, is the 31 km-long Murtal trail, one of the longest in the region. However, due to the easy skill level it requires, it can also be well-used by beginner skiers. A more challenging track is the high-altitude trail, which runs from Marienpfarr, via Grabendorf and Öser, right up to Weißpriach. The high-altitude Schönfeld-Rosanin track (1,730 - 2,050 m) provide wonderful panorama views of the surrounding Lungau mountain landscape.

For the use of some of the trails, a small fee is levied.
