Après ski Sweden

The Swedish cuisine is mainly known as good, hearty, traditional food ("husmanskost"). These include for instance meat dishes, such as the famous Köttbullar: meat balls which can be combined with a fruity cranberry sauce. Fish, such as salmon and herring, also plays a big role in Swedish cuisine. A traditional dessert is Swedish Gingerbread or the famous cinnamon pastries called Kanelbullar.

The local cuisine also displays the regional cultural and geographical characteristics. In the North there are more meat dishes, especially game and reindeer meat is preferred there. Also, the popular crisp bread originates from Sweden and can be found here in any variation desired. Coffee, self-made fruit juices from berries and apples, as well as milk are the most popular beverages. Light alcoholic drinks can be bought in the supermarkets. Various herbal schnapps, vodka and beer are preferred at special occasions.
