Ski area Bormio

The lift pass "Bormio" is further also valid outside Bormio in the ski areas Valdidentro and Santa Caterina/Valfurva, for a total of 36 lifts and 110 kilometres of piste. In addition to the ski area’s altitude (1,225 – 3,012 m), various snow-making machines provide snow security. From Bormio you can take the two fast cable cars to the Cima Blanca (3,012 m) the regional mountain. Wonderful pistes, wide and almost free of any fauna in the upper part, lead you down to the valley, including the world cup descent "Stelvio".

A particularly beautiful route is the 7.2 km long "Bimbi al sole", which is somewhat off the beaten track, a real goody for ski cracks is the 2 km long, black piste "Betulle". Another highlight is the longest slope in Bormio, the "Cima Bianca - Bornio", which has a total altitude of 1,787 m and is 8 km long. Fantastic free rider possibilities can be found in the areas "Ortler" and "Cevedale" and boarders can run riot in the "Snowpark Bormio 2000" at the middle station with super pipe, rails and jumps. The flood-lit piste "Stelvio" is 3 km long, but does require some experience. The ski area Valdidentro offers mainly easy to intermediate pistes, while Santa Caterina, home base of the Olympic champion Deborah Compagnoni, mainly offers red and black pistes.
