Ski area InterSkiregion Fichtelberg/Klínovec

The lift pass "InterSkiregion Fichtelberg/Klinovec" comprises the ski area all around the Fichtelberg mountain (1,215 m) with 15.5 km of piste as well as the 31.5 km of piste of the neighbouring Czech Keilberg mountain. Germany's oldest cable lift (constructed in 1924) as well as a modern 4-person chair lift take you up the Fichtelberg from Oberwiesenthal.

The resort is very popular with families due to the mainly easy to intermediate runs in the ski area Fichtelberg. The approx. 2.5 km long family run is especially recommendable, as is the 1.8 km long toboggan run. The little guests will enjoy kids' practice area as well as the magic carpet and the ski kindergarden.

Experts have a 1.3 km long FIS run which counts as one of the most challenging pistes of Eastern Germany along with the piste "Am Wäldchen". Freestylers have a fun park at their disposal at the foot of the Kleiner Fichtelberg mountain. More than 120 snow machines ensure snow security.

The Czech ski area Klínovec can be found only 5 km away and attracts visitors with its 31.5 km of of piste all around the 1,244 m high Keilberg, the highest peak of the Ore Mountains. Here most slopes are intermediate - the 6 forest descents on the North Eastern side of the mountain are particularly popular.

Night skiing Oberwiesenthal

In Oberwiesenthal at the German-Czech border, skiers can use the pistes in the Fichtelberg/Klínovec ski region also at night. The nearby ski areas on both the Czech and German side offer night skiing to all those who have not have enough of skiing during the daytime and who want to extend their day on skis until the evening. On the Czech side of the border you can use the night ski area in the Klínovec ski areal, and the local ski area in Oberwiesenthal in Germany also offers night skiing. The number of small night ski areas makes the area especially attractive for night skiing enthusiasts.

Après ski Oberwiesenthal

Oberwiesenthal has something on offer for après ski fans as well as those looking for a bit of peace and quiet. If you prefer the more eventful option, the "Pistenblick" directly next to the slopes or "Sabines Umbrella Bar" located at the lift and slopes as well as next to the open air stage, are great places. There are of course plenty of restaurants and taverns for you to enjoy the local potato specialities.

If you prefer the more quiet option, then several spas invite guests to get spoilt and relax. A romantic stroll through the snowy Ore Mountains Forest or a ride on a historic stagecoach are great ways to end the evenings more quietly.

Some more action can be found on the toboggan run, or how about a go on snow kites? This up-and-coming activity can be learned in a specialised school in Oberwiesenthal. 20 km of winter hiking trails round off the leisure activity offer.

Snowpark: Snowpark Oberwiesenthal

The ski region "Fichtelberg-Klinovec" has two snowparks to offer - one on the German and one of the Czech side of the border. The Snowpark Oberwiesenthal provides various jumps, kickers, rails and tubes, as well as a wallride and enough space to work on one's skills. A line is dedicated only to kickers. Further, there is a DIY Wood Line with pole jam, coping and down slider. The offer is topped with a great, 110 m long half-pipe.
