Ski area Oberstaufen

With the "Oberstaufen PLUS Card" you have free access to all four Allgäu ski areas Sinswang, Hochgrat, Hündle/Thalkirchdorf and SkiArena Steibis, offering a total of 50 km of piste to enjoy. Experienced pro or complete beginner - the ski area Oberstaufen has something to offer for everyone.

The largest piste selection with 18 km and 12 lifts can be found in the SkiArena Steibis, as well as in Hündle/Thalkirchdorf with 18 km and 10 lifts. Both areas are dominated by easy and intermediate pistes. Especially the soft, wide, well-prepared slopes at Thalkirchdorf-Hündle are ideal for children and beginners. Experts will rather want to venture out to the pistes in Steibis or on the Hündle, for instance try the Hündle's steep descent, which has even been host to the lady's World Cup race. Of you can challenge the runs at Steibis along the Fluh and Bärenjoch lifts.

An insider's tip for sporty skiers: the steep slopes from the Hochgrat. The small ski area in Sinswang on the other hand, offers a number of practice lifts and therefore is great for beginners and families with children.

Night skiing Oberstaufen

Skiing in the German region Allgäu is pure pleasure, in both night time and daytime. Night skiing is getting more and more popular and the possibilities are growing more from year to year. Guests of the Oberstaufen ski region can explore the pistes after sundown: In Thalkirchdorf, night owls can use the Schwand lift. Every Friday and right in time for the weekend, the tow lift extends its operation hours and is available from 18:30 - 21:30. Like this, the approx. 800 m pistes turns into a playground for nocturnal winter sports fans right after sundown. No fan of snowboarding and skiing should miss out on the special experience of gliding down the piste in starlight.

Après ski Oberstaufen

After a long day on the piste you can let it come to a cosy end in one of the many cafés and pubs, with a hot or a cold drink. For evening entertainment there are various location in the resort centre where you can grab a drink, e.g. the "Bubi's", the "Apostel's", the "Weinbauer" or also the "Enzianhütte".

If you are looking for a bit of action away from the pistes, you can enjoy a great toboggan session on the Imberg, or on the 6 km long run at Hochgrat. Winter hiking is also a way of exploring the surrounding area - especially the sporty district Steibis has a lot of those to offer. On the rice rink in the resort centre you can enjoy a round on skates, or you can play some curling.

If you are more of a tranquillity person, you can let your muscles come to rest in the pool complex "Aquaria", which offer a great sauna and spa area, besides the 1,000 m² large pool section.

Three different lines await beginners and experts alike and offer 14 different obstacles for trying out creative new styles. There is also a new double kicker line for beginners and pros.

While the "Easy Line" with butter box, down box and a 3 m jump are an ideal setup for newbies, the "Main Line" offers various rails, a wallride, pole jam and a stair setup to try out. The "Kicker Line" offers additional rollers with 5 m table and pyro jump. The park-own Hohenegg lift prevents long queues.
