The cosy village of Auffach is the Wildschönau winter centre with the Schatzberg ski areal. The town situated at an altitude of 875 meters is primarily know for its countless hiking trails and also for the Schatzberg gondola, one of the longest single circuit trains in Austria. Wildschönau

Nestled picturesquely in a sunny upper valley on the edge of the Kitzbühel Alps is Wildschönau, with its four idyllic Tyrolean resorts. This winter sports region, in the heart of a majestic mountain landscape, is exceptionally family-friendly. Due to the interconnection with the ski areas in the Alpach Valley, the new "Ski Juwel" (jewel) offers approx. 113 km of piste, as well as 16 km of sign-posted ski tours, and therefore now belongs to the top ten ski destinations in Tyrol.
