Ski area Hochfügen-Hochzillertal/Spieljoch
With the "Zillertaler Superskipass" you can choose between 506 km of piste in the ski areas of Hochfügen, at the Spieljoch, in Hochzillertal, the Zillertal Arena (Zell, Gerlos, Königsleiten, Wald, Krimml and Gerlosstein), at Penken, Ahorn, at the Horberg, in the "Ski and Gletscherwelt Zillertal 3000" (Finkenberg, Eggalm, Rastkogl, Hintertux Glacier) and at the Wildkogel-Arena at Bramberg. The ski areas are all perfectly connected by a free shuttle bus system commuting between the areas. Since a few years, the Zillertal Arena offers free-of-charge Wi-Fi in all of its ski areas! In other words, not only can you enjoy the white bliss and the sun, but also share your latest experiences and highlights directly with your loved ones at home.
The winter sport paradise of Hochfügen, reaching up to heights of 2,377m, is located directly at the entrance of the Zillertal valley. Here, ski and snowboard fans can find everything that their hearts desire. Regardless of whether you are a family with children, beginners or professional skiers - this snow safe ski area, through its multifaceted and perfectly prepared pistes, has something to offer! Heavenly pistes above the treetops give you breathtaking views of the beautiful snow-covered mountain landscape. The snow park with a half-pipe awakens the enthusiasm of snowboarders! And for lovers of nerve-wrecking fun, Hochfügen offers off-piste opportunities. Make your way with gondolas, lifts and a short walk on foot, and you can explore high-alpine areas - outside the safety zone.
Through the interconnection of Hochfügen and Hochzillertal, as well as Spieljoch areas, a total of approx. 94 km of diverse pistes are at your disposal.
Après ski Stans
In the evening, toboggan races by torchlight are offered, or perhaps go on a romantic walk by lantern light. You can also spoil yourself in the many restaurants and taverns of the village. A culinary highlight of the ski area Kaltenbach-Hochzillertal are the crystal huts, who were awarded the best ski huts of 2014 by Skiresort.de, the world's largest ski area review portal. The huts themselves, which can be found in the mountain station Kristall-Express at an altitude of 2,150 m, offers you young, creative cuisine at attractive prices. Fresh, regional products are served. In the inner huts, you can find an open fireplace as well as quaint parlours, and nice weather providing, a bar-adjacent sun terrace with lounge chairs and water beds can be enjoyed. In addition, since the winter season 2013/2014, a wine celler has been added.
Snowpark: Hotzone.TV Snowpark Stans
Stans itself only has a small ski area with one lift, but there is a large snowpark directly in the resort. The "Hotzone.TV Snowpark Stans" is s true paradise for freestylers. Even young riders can run riot on the Easy Line: 2 small kickers, as well as kids boxes offer the perfect opportunity to practise the first tricks. More advanced freestylers can use the various lines with boxes, rails, a rollercoaster box, a jib-pipeline, 2 large kickers, and a wall ride.
Those who are looking for more, can try out the "Betterpark" in the Hochzillertal, directly at the Schnee Express 8-person chair lift. The park's own lift brings you back to the top, so that you can quickly move on to the next ride. In the park there are three lines with different degrees of difficulty - that way beginners, intermediates, and pros can put their skills to the test on kickers and Co. An additional highlight is the Jib Line, where you will find various boxes to use. The biggest highlights, however, are probably the XL-kicker, which offers a great show for observers in the chair lift and the 100 m long super-pipe, which is located slightly below the park. The chill area with container, sun loungers, and the perfect sound system invites you after a long freestyle day or when taking a break.
Fun and freestyle fans will find many more snow parks to let off steam in other ski areas in the Zillertal - e.g. in Mayrhofen, Gerlos or at the Hintertux glacier.
