Ski area St. Johann in Tirol/Oberndorf

With the "3 Länder Freizeit-Arena" lift pass, you can enjoy a total of around 163 kilometres of slopes and approximately 52 lifts. Included are the ski areas of Heutal-Unken, Almenwelt Lofer, St. Johann in Tirol/Oberndorf, Steinplatte Waidring, Winklmoosalm, Pillersee/Buchensteinwand, Lärchenhof-Erpfendorf and Kirchdorf.

St. Johann lies between the famous Kitzbüheler Horn, affectionately known here as the “St. Johanner Horn”, and the Wilder Kaiser. Thanks to its favourable north-facing location, the slopes are guaranteed to have plenty of snow even in spring. In total, 90% of the slopes can be covered with artificial snow. The 40 kilometres of slopes in St. Johann in Tirol-Oberndorf stretch from 659 to 1,604 metres in altitude. You can reach the summit at Harschbichl via three gondola lifts, which ascend from different sides of the mountain.

Families and beginners in particular will find plenty to enjoy here thanks to the predominantly easy to intermediate slopes. But the ski area also has a treat in store for experienced skiers with the 3 km long Run 7 (FIS downhill run) from Penzing to Oberndorf.

For those who love variety, we recommend the SuperSkiCard (see Ski Region). This offers 2,840 kilometres of slopes, 2,200 of which are covered by snow-making systems, and 946 lifts across two countries and six federal states. With two glaciers – the Kitzsteinhorn and the Mölltal Glacier – the Ultra-Skipass offers 200 days of fun on the slopes and guaranteed snow. What’s more, 809 mountain huts in Tyrol and Salzburg invite you to celebrate and relax. The 23 ski regions include world-famous ski resorts such as the Skicircus Saalbach Hinterglemm Leogang Fieberbrunn, the Skiwelt Wilder Kaiser - Brixental, Kitzbühel - Kirchberg, St. Johann in Tirol - Oberndorf, Steinplatte Waidring - Winklmoos, Ski amadé and the Zillertal Arena. A must for every winter sports fan!
