Ski area Salzburger Sportwelt

With the "Ski amadé" lift pass you have access to an unbelievable 760 km of piste, as well as 270 lifts in this huge lift pass union!

The Salzburger Sports World is situated in the centre of Austria's largest ski area, the "Ski amadé", and meets all the requirements for a successful skiing holiday! Here alone there are 250 kilometres of piste and 97 lift systems at an altitude of 619 - 2,188 m! The sprawling Kleinarl/Flachauwinkl/Zauchensee and Flachau/Wagrain/St. Johann ski areas are the top destinations in the network and owe their notoriety to such events as the Alpine Ski World Cup in Flachau. About 400 Wi-Fi hotspots are available in the ski area, allowing you to freely surf the web. The hotspots can be found at the numerous valley and mountain stations.

Families, beginners and cross-country skiers will find suitable areas, whereas the pros will be drawn to Zauchensee. Diverse fun parks await boarders, for example the Absolut Park in Flachauwinkl.

The ski area Flachau-Wagrain-Alpendorf is especially well-known for its modern lifts and mountain railways. The well equipped chairlifts almost all have a weather hood and heated seats, many also have a security bracket for children that closes automatically.

A highlight awaits all winter sports enthusiasts in the ski area Wagrain-Kleinarl. The ski mountains Grießenkareck and Grafenberg are connected with each other. The gondola "G-Link" crosses the valley and runs between the middle station of the "Flying Mozart" lift and the turn-over point for Grafenberg Express I and II. The two new cabins can each hold up to 130 winter sports fans. Since 2021/2022 Wagrain has been connected to the neighbouring ski areas Shuttleberg Flachauwinkl-Kleinarl and the World Cup resort of Zauchensee thanks to the new "Panorama Link" gondola.

Also child- and family friendliness are very important in the ski area - the area offers eleven ski schools, childcare facilities, ski-game-lessons for the little ones from 2 years, and children's ski lessons for children from 4 years. Further highlights are the "Winterwelt" Wagrain, the Alpine Coaster in Flachau as well as the "Teufelsweg" with adventurous folk figures.

Après ski Wagrain

Apres ski in Wagrain is no half task. There's something for everyone here - whether relaxing in a rustic mountain lodge, lapping up the party atmosphere or having a cosy cocktail, the choice is huge! Countless restaurants attract guests with their regional specialities.

If you are looking for a change of activity you can visit the pool complex "Wasserwelt Wagrain" with over 450 m² of water space. The extensive complex offers, e.g. activity pool, closed slide, current system, baby pool, sauna, massages and jacuzzi.

Further possibilities for things to do are horse-drawn sleigh rides, curling, snowshoe hiking or tobogganing, also on the illuminated run in the evenings! The indoor tennis courts, approx. 20 km of winter hiking trails and a climbing hall provide further sporty alternatives.

Snowpark: Absolut Snowpark Wagrain

A very special freestyle highlight awaits you at the Shuttleberg near Flachauwinkl in the Salzburg Sportwelt. The "Absolut Park" offers all adrenaline junkies (from beginner to pro) top opportunities to run riot.

It starts with the 5 times kicker line, which is located at the exit of the park's own 6-person "Absolut Shuttle". The "Spring Battle", Austria's most famous 'on mountain' Snowboard Contest, takes place on this line. Directly next to the kicker line there is the rail line, where riders prove their skills on a kinked rail, a rainbow rail, hand rail, various boxes, down rails, and a double kinked rail. Last but not least, creativity and spontaneity are demanded in the Easy Jibpark, which is designed in skate park style.

Furthermore, the "Absolut Park" comprises a 100 m long half-pipe with 4 m high walls, as well as a super-pipe, which is 160 m long and is located above the valley station "Family Shuttle" and was built according to X-Games and Olympics norms. Additionally, there is a "Chill House" in the park with more than just great tunes, video walls, and a lot of space to relax. In the two-storey house you will also find a mini skate ramp and a massive boulder rock, which will make a freestyler's dreams come true.

Further to the snow park, you can also find a fun slope in the ski area Zauchensee, that offers the whole family lots of fun, with its different waves, steep curves, small jumps and other attractions.

There is a further highlight to be found at the Shuttleberg. Burton and the Absolut Park Team constructed "The Stash" in Flachauwinkl. The concept is special, as you can show your creativity on partly hidden obstacles, which were built as part of the landscape. The fun and easy obstacles can be used in many different ways. Furthermore, there is the "Lil' Stash" park, located at the exit of the "Powder Shuttles", which is especially great for the little ones.
