Ski area Salzburger Sportwelt

With the lift pass “Ski amadé” you have access to an unbelievable 760 km of piste, as well as 270 lifts in this huge lift pass union (see ski region)! The Salzburger Sportwelt is located in the centre of “Ski Amadé” ski region and meets all the requirements for a great skiing holiday! In the Salzburger Sportwelt alone, there are 250 km of piste and 97 lift systems at altitudes between 600 - 2,188 m available.

The sprawling ski links Kleinarl/Flachauwinkl/Zauchensee and Flachau/Wagrain/St. Johann are the top destinations in the network and owe their notoriety to such events as the Alpine Ski World Cup in Flachau. Families, beginners and cross-country skiers will find suitable areas, whereas the pros will be drawn to Zauchensee. Various fun parks await freestylers, e.g. the Absolut Park in Flachauwinkl, which offers everything a boarder's heart desires: rail combos, half-pipe, jib park, the "chill house" and numerous events. First-class deep snow territory can be found on Monte Popolo or around the Zauchensee. With its opportunities, the Salzburger Sportwelt sets winter sports standards.

In the family friendly skiing area of Filzmoos, winter sports enthusiasts will find 20 km of pistes and eight lifts. At the Bögrain lift there is a 400 m long floodlit slope. Beginners in particular will find plenty of room for their first turns on the wide pistes. The three ski schools in the village are located directly in the centre and are therefore easily accessible. And if you want to send the latest pictures and dear greetings from the snow to your friends back home, you can use the free internet access at the mountain and valley station of the Papageno gondola as well as at the valley stations of the Großbergbahn and Mooslehen!

Après ski Filzmoos

If it is apres ski you are looking for in Filzmoos, then you are looking in the right place. There is something to be found here for everyone.: in the Kalahari Bar you can enjoy cocktails, in Kenn'i Di it is cosy and relaxed and in the Happy Alm you will find activity apres ski. Further there are many huts and restaurants and bars to choose from.

A visit worthwhile for the whole family and after a long day on the piste is the "Freizeitpark Filzmoos" with sauna, spa and swimming pool, right up to skittles alley and outdoor climbing wall! Of course there are also enough possibilities to spend the evening outdoors in the fresh air. Ski tours, horse-drawn sleigh rides or hot air balloon rides can be booked locally. Further there are approx. 83 km of winter hiking trails, incl. high altitude hikes at 1,600 m, an ice rink and various toboggan runs in the entire area. On the natural toboggan run at Kleinberg in Filzmoos you can even ride until under floodlights until late in the evening.

Snowpark: Absolut Snowpark Flachau Filzmoos

A very special freestyle highlight awaits you at the Shuttleberg near Flachauwinkl in the Salzburg Sportwelt. The "Absolut Park" offers all adrenaline junkies (from beginner to pro) top opportunities to run riot. It starts with the 5 times kicker line, which is located at the exit of the park's own 6-person "Absolut Shuttle". The "Spring Battle", Austria's most famous 'on mountain' Snowboard Contest, takes place on this line. Directly next to the kicker line there is the rail line, where riders prove their skills on a kinked rail, a rainbow rail, hand rail, various boxes, down rails, and a double kinked rail. Last but not least, creativity and spontaneity are demanded in the Easy Jibpark, which is designed in skate park style.

Furthermore, the "Absolut Park" comprises a 100 m long half-pipe with 4 m high walls, as well as a super-pipe, which is 160 m long and is located above the valley station "Family Shuttle" and was built according to X-Games and Olympics norms. Additionally, there is a "Chill House" in the park with more than just great tunes, video walls, and a lot of space to relax. In the two-storey house you will also find a mini skate ramp and a massive boulder, which will make a freestyler's dreams come true.

Further to the snow park in ski area Zauchensee, you can also find a fun slope, with different waves, steep curves, small jumps and more activities, perfect for the entire family.

Further, there is another highlight to be found at the Shuttleberg. Burton and the Absolut Park Team constructed "The Stash" in Flachauwinkl. The concept is special, as you can show your creativity on partly hidden obstacles, which were built as part of the landscape. The fun and easy obstacles can be used in many different ways. Furthermore, there is the "Lil' Stash" park, located at the exit of the "Powder Shuttles", which is especially great for the little ones.
