The Achensee region includes approx. 53 km of piste with 31 lifts at an altitude between 950 m and 1,840 m. Each of the 3 resorts has their own ski areas: Christlum near Achenkirch has 27 km piste, Rofan near Maurach has 11 km piste, and Zwölferkopf near Pertisau has 13 km piste. Further practice lifts can be found in Steinberg and Wiesing.

The largest ski area is near Achenkirch at Christlum and has wide, middle level piste for pleasure skiers. The Rofan ski area, just beyond Maurach, offers especially sunny runs and is ideal for beginners. The deep powder snow and freerider area on the Seekar and Rofan peaks are also available. Zwölferkopf near Pertisau boasts a fantastic panoramic view of the lake. Experts can use the black runs that stretch 3 km from Zwölferkopf down. In addition, all three sites offer excellent ski area tours. Free Wi-Fi can be accesses at the hotspots of the valley and mountain stations of the Karwendel lift.
